SEN GAO MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY
Sanda
Sanda, also known as Sanshou, is a modern Chinese martial art and combat sport that focuses on striking, kicking, and grappling techniques. Developed by the Chinese military for hand-to-hand combat and close-quarters fighting, Sanda combines traditional Chinese martial arts with elements of Western boxing and kickboxing, as well as wrestling and judo. The goal of Sanda is to defeat an opponent through a combination of powerful strikes, quick footwork, and effective throws or takedowns.

Sanda training includes a range of techniques, including punches, kicks, elbow and knee strikes, sweeps, joint locks, and takedowns. It also emphasizes conditioning, agility, and speed, with practitioners learning how to seamlessly transition between striking and grappling. One of the defining features of Sanda is its focus on practical application, with an emphasis on real-world combat scenarios.
